Executive Board – Consists of mayors, presidents, and trustees of the member agencies’ villages, cities and fire protection districts. This Board meets quarterly, or as needed, and sets policy for the organization.
Chiefs Operating Committee – Consists of the agency chiefs, or their designees. This committee meets monthly to review expenses, approve purchases pursuant to the budget, discuss the performance of WESCOM, and implements the policy of the Executive Board.
Police Operations Committee – Consists of the police agencies’ chiefs, or their designees. This committee meets every other month, or as needed, to refine police dispatch functions including procedures and guidelines for the proper dispatch of police agencies.
Fire Operations Committee – Consists of the fire agencies’ chiefs, or their designees. This committee meets every other month, or as needed, to refine fire dispatch functions including procedures and guidelines for the proper dispatch of fire agencies.
By-Laws and Rules Committee – Consists of several agency chiefs and WESCOM staff. This committee works on policies and procedures for overall operations including best practices and Unified Command procedures.
Finance Committee – Consists of several agency chiefs and WESCOM staff. This committee participates in the preliminary budgeting process and reviews the budget and expenses prior to its approval at the Executive Board.
Personnel and Negotiations Committee – Consists of several agency chiefs. This committee works with the Executive Director for hiring, promotions, discipline, and dismissal of employees. It also represents WESCOM in the planning, bargaining, and labor contract implementation.
